Scifiworld se complace en hacer públicas las bases de la segunda edición de SHOTS, Certamen Internacional Scifiworld de Cortometrajes de Género Fantástico con la finalidad de difundir y promover a los jóvenes realizadores de género fantástico audiovisual internacional.

 

BASES SHOTS 2010

 

Primera. Todas las obras presentadas deberán estar realizadas en fecha posterior al 1 de Enero de 2007 y no pueden haber participado en ediciones anteriores. Cada autor podrá presentar los cortometrajes que desee.

Segunda. A la convocatoria se podrán presentar personas de cualquier nacionalidad siempre que sus obras estén en castellano, o subtituladas al mismo, y pertenezcan al género fantástico en cualquiera de sus acepciones.

Tercera. Las obras deberán presentarse en formato DVD, MPEG, DIVX, Quicktime, AVI, u cualquier otro formato estandarizado de video digital de Alta Resolución. Además se facilitará un archivo en formato Flash (.flv) para su publicación en el portal Scifiworld.es.

Quedarán excluidos los presentados en formato VHS, 8,16 o 35mm.

Cuarta. Las obras no podrán exceder los 30 minutos de duración.

Quinta. La fecha límite para la recepción de las obras será el 15 de marzo de 2010. El fallo del certamen se dará a conocer en un evento que se celebrará en Madrid cuya fecha exacta y lugar de celebración se darán a conocer próximamente.

Sexta. Para esta segunda edición de SHOTS Certamen Internacional Scifiworld de Cortometrajes de Género Fantástico se establecen los siguientes premios:

Se podrán conceder Menciones especiales a discreción del jurado.

Además Scifiworld promocionará las obras ganadoras en su publicación Scifiworld Magazine, en Scifiworld.es y portales afines.

Para participar en el Premio a la Mejor cortinilla será necesario realizar una pieza promocional para el Certamen de no más de 20 segundos en la que deberá figurar claramente el logotipo de Shots (descárgalo aquí).

Séptima. Los realizadores participantes en esta segunda edición de SHOTS Certamen Internacional Scifiworld de Cortometrajes de Género Fantástico permitirán a los responsables de Scifiworld publicar sus obras en el portal www.scifiworld.es (mientras dure la votación de los mismos), proyectarla en los diferentes eventos organizados por la revista. Además los cortometrajes seleccionados permitirán a los responsables de Scifiworld su publicación en un DVD recopilatorio o cualquier otro soporte

Octava. El equipo de Scifiworld preseleccionará 15 cortometrajes y un jurado formado por tres profesionales relacionados con el cine fantástico elegirá las obras ganadoras.

Para el premio Scifiworld.es los usuarios del portal, mediante votación, seleccionarán los cinco mejores cortometrajes. Posteriormente un jurado formado por tres usuarios seleccionados por el equipo de Scifiworld elegirán el cortometraje ganador.

Novena. Es obligatorio que junto a las obras se proporcione la siguiente información:

Décima. Las obras a concurso deberán de entregarse por uno los siguiente métodos:

Decimoprimera. Scifiworld no devolverá las copias de las obras enviadas a concurso.

Decimosegunda. La participación en el concurso supone la aceptación total de las bases.

Decimotercera. Los fallos del Comité de Selección y de los Jurados son inapelables.

Decimocuarta. El jurado, de creerlo pertinente, podrá declarar desierto el certamen.

Scifiworld is pleased to announce SHOTS second edition conditions, Scifiworld International Fantastic Short Film Festival , in order to spread and promote young fantastic audiovisual genre producers.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

First. All submitted works must be produced after January 1 2007, and they couldn’t have been submitted in previous editions. There is no limit on the amount of times an entrant may enter this competition.

Second. People from all nationalities can enter into the competition as long as their works are in Spanish or include English subtitles, and they are related to fantastic genre in all its subcategories.

Third. Copies must be in the following formats: DVD, MPEG, DIVX, Quicktime, AVI or in any other standard HD digital video format. Also a Flash format file must be included in order to upload them to Scifiworld.es website.

Fourth. The duration of the film must not exceed 30 minutes

Fifth. All entries must be received by 15 March 2010. The winners will be announced in an event that would take place in Madrid which date and place will be announced soon.

Sixth. The awards set up for this second edition of SHOTS, Scifiworld International Fantastic Short Film Festival, are:

1st award for Best real image short film: 1,000 € + trophy+ MP4player

2nd award for Best real image short film: 600 € + trophy+ MP4player

Best animation short film award: 1,000 € + trophy+ MP4player

Best wipe award: 300 € + MP4player
Scifiworld.es award: 400 € + trophy+ MP4player
Scifiworld hall of fame award will be given to a relevant international fantastic genre personality.

Also Scifiworld would promote the winners’ works on Scifiworld magazine, Scifiworld.es and similar websites.

In order to enter into Best wipe award category it would be necessary to create a promotional sampler for the competition consisting in no more than 20 seconds, where SHOTS logo (download here) must be seen clearly.

Seventh. Producers entering SHOTS second edition conditions, Scifiworld International fantastic short filming competition, will allow Scifiworld to publish their works on www.scifiworld.es (while the poll is going on) and show them in different events organized by the magazine. Also the chosen short films producers would allow Scifiworld to include the films in a collective DVD or other forms.

Eighth. Scifiworld team would draw up a list of 15 short films and would chose a jury made of 3 professional fantastic cinema related people which would select the winner short film.

Ninth.All submitted films must be accompanied by the following information:

Poster and 2 digital pictures

Tenth. The works entering this competition must be sent to:

Eleventh. Scifiworld won’t send back the copies sent to them.

Twelfth. Entering into the competition means full agreement to the terms and conditions.

Thirteenth. Jury and selection committee decision is final.

Fourteenth. The jury can declare that the prize would not be awarded if they find it appropriated.
